About The ISP List

· In order to set up a Dialup network configuration with any provider you will need to know:
1. The name of your Internet Service Provider.
2. Your login ID (also called user name, login name or screen name).
3. Your password
4. Your primary dial-up number
5. Your secondary dial-up number (if applicable)

· Always contact your phone company to verify if the numbers provided by your ISP are a local call. Calling plans in many areas are very confusing, and you may end up paying your telco several hundreds dollars at the end of the month. Dial 0 on your telephone and ask the operator whether the number you are going to use is a local call.

· We hate to remind, but always set your CAPS LOCK off before typing your password. In most cases passwords are case-sensitive.

· While we tried to make this tutorial as complete and straightforward as possible, it is a supplementary information and doesn't constitute professional customer support from your ISP. Keep your ISP's tecsupport phone number / e-mail address handy.

Dreamcast DUN setup
Put in the Web Browser disc that came with your Dreamcast. This disc contains everything you'll need to get online with your Dreamcast. You will be given an opportunity to either setup a new Internet account with AT&T WorldNet Service or your "current ISP". Make sure you click the "Use my current ISP" button (see picture) to use your existing dialup account.
If you accidentally click the "Register for AT&T WorldNet Service" or mess up your settings and want to start over from factory settings, here's how you do it:
1) Turn off your Dreamcast
2) Unplug all controllers.
3) Plug one controller into the B port.
4) Hold down the (B) and (X) buttons on the controller and keep holding them down.
5) Turn on your Dreamcast with the Web Browser disc in the drive.
6) Wait until a screen similar to the one on the left displays on your screen. This indicates you have reset your Dreamcast. (You can let go of the (B) and (X) buttons now.)
At any time in the process you can press the START button and the "Command Cluster" (see picture) will pop up. This is your control panel for the Dreamcast.

Using the 4-way digital control (we'll call it a controller from now on) choose the "OPTIONS" button on the bottom right and then press the (A) button.

After clicking the "Use my current ISP" button, you will see a list of all the things we will need to set up.
· ISP Phone ##s: Put your dialup number (provided by your ISP)
· POP3 Server Name: Put your incoming mail server name here (provided by your ISP)
· DNS Addresses: Should be provided by your ISP.
· SMTP Server Name: Put your outgoing mail server name here (provided by your ISP)
· Email Login ID: Should be provided by your ISP. Normally, your dialup login is your mail login ID
· Proxy Server: Check with your provider. Normally, no proxy info needed

· Move your cursor over the "Ok" button and press the (A) button to move to the next step...

After clicking "Ok" you will see the Internet Setup screen (left). There are three sections to this screen. We'll start with the first of the three sections: "Internet Connection". Position the pointer over the "Internet Connection" button and press the (A) button on your controller.
The "Internet Connection" window will appear. You should click on the first field ("Your Real Name") which will cause the virtual keyboard to appear. Use the 4-way digital control to move your pointer over keys on the virtual keyboard and the (A) button on your controller to type in the information on this screen.
This is an example of all the information typed into this form. The username and passwords will all depend on your account settings. When you're finished typing in all your information, move your cursor over the "Close" button on the virtual keyboard and press the (A) button on your controller.
After the virtual keyboard disappears, move your cursor over the "Ok" button and press the (A) button on your controller to go to Dial Options. This is an example of all the information typed into this form.
Move your pointer over the "Ok" button and press the (A) button on your controller to go to Proxy Settings. This next step is easy! You'll notice how there is nothing to change on this screen. All you have to do is move your cursor over the "Ok" button and press the (A) button on your controller. This will take you to general setup screen.Move the pointer over the Email Account icon and press the (A) button to enter the e-mail setup screen. Use your account information to type it in.
