Network and Dial-up Connection Errors (MS Windows)

DUN Error 611 :: A route was specified that is not available Share a tip. Click here.
Your network configuration is probably incorrect. Restart your computer to make sure that all recent configuration changes have taken effect. If the error persists, consult the Windows event log for detailed warnings or errors.

DUN Error 612 :: A route was specified that is not allocated Share a tip. Click here.
Your network configuration is probably incorrect. Restart your computer to make sure that all recent configuration changes have taken effect. This error may also occur if your computer is running low on resources. If the error persists, consult the Windows event log for detailed warnings or errors.

DUN Error 613 :: An invalid compression was specified Share a tip. Click here.
An internal error occurred. Restart your computer to make sure that all recent configuration changes have taken effect.

DUN Error 614 :: There were insufficient buffers available Share a tip. Click here.
An internal error occurred. Restart your computer to make sure that all recent configuration changes have taken effect. If the error persists, consult the Windows event log for detailed warnings or errors.

DUN Error 615 :: The specified port was not found Share a tip. Click here.
The remote access phonebook file and the current Network and Dial-up Connections configuration are probably inconsistent. If you changed your communications equipment (such as your serial port or modem), make sure you reconfigure Network and Dial-up Connections. If the error persists, delete and re-create the connections in Network and Dial-up Connections.

DUN Error 616 :: An asynchronous request is pending Share a tip. Click here.

DUN Error 617 :: The modem is already disconnecting Share a tip. Click here.
Wait for Network and Dial-up Connections to finish disconnecting.

DUN Error 619 :: The specified port is not connected Share a tip. Click here.
Restart your computer to make sure that all recent configuration changes have taken effect.
This is a known bug in Windows XP. If this happens, just restart your computer. If you still have the error, delete the dialup connection, restart the machine and create the dialup connection again. If the error persists, you need to remove the modem: go to Control Panel -> Phone and Modems -> Modems tab. Highlight your modem, and click on Remove. Close everything, restart your computer and Windows will reinstall the modem.
